O Arcade Fire é uma banda canadense de indie rock formada em 2003, a banda é um dos grandes expoentes do indie rock atual. A bandausa um grande número de instrumentos, uns inclusive muito usados em música erudita. Seu último album "Neon Bilble" foi lançado em 2006 e é o album de maior sucesso da banda, com ótimas posições nas paradas canadenses e americanas. O sucesso do album também é responsável pela turnê européia da banda no mesmo ano. Na turnê americana a banda abriu inclusive para David Bowie.

This Will Destroy You é é uma banda de post-rock instrumental do Texas. A banda foi formada em 2005 por Chris King(Guitarrista), Jeremy Galindo(Guitarrista), Donovan Jones(Baixista) e Andrew Miller(Baterista). Em 2005 mesmo a banda logo lançou um EP chamado Young Mountain, que originalmente foi lançada como uma demo. Em 2007 a banda se reuniu para gravar o primeiro álbum, o álbum tem o mesmo nome da banda e foi lançado em janeiro de 2008.

Russian Circles

Banda instrumental de chigago formada em 2004 pelo trio Mike Sullivan (guitarra), Colin DeKuiper (baixo) e Dave Turncrantz (bateria). O som da banda varia entre o post-rock e o math rock, juntando um pouco de ambiência e melodias complexas, com bastante variações e riffs de guitarra. A banda tem álbuns muito bem feitos, o mais recente Geneva, alcançou a posição #24 na Billboard. Ao vivo a banda se destaca muito também, participam de vários festivais, suas apresentações são bem energéticas, e reproduzem muito bem suas músicas, mesmo Mike Sullivan sendo o único guitarrista, o que não é uma tarefa fácil pra uma banda do gênero.

The Lemonheads

Banda de rock alternativo surgida em 1986. A banda lançou seu primeiro EP, financiado por eles mesmo, logo então, Evan Dando (vocalista/guitarrista) Já corria atrás de uma gravadora.

Logo lançaram 3 álbuns, os dois primeiros eram bem punks, mas em Lick já se notava músicas mais calmas e bem trabalhadas. Em 1990, a banda lançou mais um álbum, o Lovey que até então era o melhor da banda. Em 1992, já com outra formação, eles lançaram It’s A Shame About Ray, com músicas simples, mas ao mesmo tempo bem bonitas, e em algumas faixas nota-se a participação de Juliana Hatfield fazendo backing vocal. Com It’s A Shame about Ray a banda finalmente teve reconhecimento merecido, e o álbum é considerado até hoje um dos melhores da banda.

Já em 1993 a banda lançou o Come On feel The lemonheads que também teve bom resultado, naquela época Evan Dando estava tendo problemas com drogas o que fez a banda parar de tocar por uns tempos, mas em 1996 lançaram o álbum Car Button Cloth. Depois de um mais uma parada com a banda, Evan Dando partiu para carreira solo e resolveu lançar um disco, chamado “Baby I’m Bored”, que aparentemente foi bem recebido pelos fãs, e partiu para vários shows.
Em 2006 Evan Dando reformulou o Lemonheads com novos integrantes e lançou mais um álbum, até então o ultimo de inéditas da banda…já que ano passado a banda lançou um álbum só com covers, Varshons, esse álbum animou os fãs, ainda que torcendo por um álbum de inéditas, pois mostrou que Lemonheads ainda estar na ativa.
